More often than not, public employees find themselves forgetting that the public has different expectations of them because they are funded by tax dollars.

Employees of government agencies should be periodically reminded of the law governing Ohio ethics and the reasons these laws exist.

In most instances, employees do not intend to behave badly, but a personal errand in a county vehicle or an incorrect time sheet results in bad publicity and can cost a person their job.

Annual training reminds government employees of their heightened responsibilities to the public and preserves an organization’s integrity, especially in times of extreme public cynicism.

If you have not recently updated ethics training or included it in a annual refresher course, please feel free to contact Elise Hara Auvil .
